Week 1 (19/02) - making new blog, proximity and hierarchy, proportion and balance
For proximity and hierarchy, I used Illustrator. And for proportion and balance, I used Adobe Photoshop. And I think these experiments went really well, I had no problems in doing the experiments, but one thing that could have gone better in proportion and balance is the quality of the photo.
Week 2 (26/02) - Going to V&A Museum, Documentary conventions
Week 3 (04/03) - Proposal, Timetable, Mind map, Documentary review, Documentary makers research
For the mind map, I used PowerPoint so I could do it as a presentation that is related to reflections and different meanings that could relate to it.
Week 4 (11/03) - Leaflet analysis
I have chosen one leaflet about art activities and analysed it.
(12/03) - Leaflet
I used InDesign for my leaflet and did it with a theme of reflections. I enjoyed doing my leaflet as a practice and I will use these skills for my final major project.
(15/03) - Surrealism - Layer Masking, Making PechaKucha
Experimenting with layer masking, using mirror picture, and putting over another picture in the theme of reflections. I enjoyed practicing with layer masking because it is beneficial to know.
Week 5 (18/03) - Making PechaKucha, Complete Proposal/Timetable
I'm doing my PechaKucha presentation on PowerPoint, using pictures of reflections from the internet and my own pictures that I took in the V&A Museum.
Complete Proposal and Timetable on Google Drive.
Week 6 (25/03) - Presenting PechaKucha and getting feedback
(26/03) - Finishing my PechaKucha presentation
(28/03) - Presenting my PechaKucha presentation on the camera and in front of the class and getting feedback.
Feedbacks on my PechaKucha presentation:
Evidence on how I'm going to create my project.
Good information. Looked in the camera. Could be more confident.
I like how she explains it - very clear. Maybe a bit louder and confident.
It was ok. Talk more about the topic.
Using your own photos. Shows your talent. Talk a bit louder.
Wonderful presentation.
01/04 & 08/04 - Easter holiday!
Week 7 - (15/04) - Taking my own pictures of reflections in a gallery, Putting my leaflet analysis on my Research page and my experimental leaflet on my Practical Skills page explaining how I did it, and commenting on my Colour of Emphasis. Sketching my ideas for what I want to do for my FMP. I'm doing my experimental leaflet using InDesign, I used pictures from the Internet and that experiment went really well and I know how to do leaflets. Putting my own pictures of reflections that I took in a gallery and editing 4-5 images.
To edit these pictures I used Photoshop. I'm really satisfied with the experiments and the way I edited pictures I can see that the reflections stand out more. I think to use these pictures to do my leaflet for Halcyon Gallery.
Week 8 - (22/04) - Doing experiment with photos and doing a leaflet for Halcyon Gallery, asking people what they can see in the picture for my vox pop, making a video of gallery pictures
The pictures that I used for the leaflet are reflections and I think it's a good idea to show an example of reflection images. For my vox pop, I asked a few people what they could see in the picture so I could get their opinion on that.
Week 9 - (29/04) - Researching my topic, doing a website for the gallery, doing photographer research
The research helped me to pursue my interests, and to learn something new like I did about reflections and it helped me to gain knowledge and understanding about this topic.
Week 10 - (06/05) - Editing my Vox Pop and writing how I did it, Choosing 2-3 magazine layouts and analysing them, making my own magazine.
Week 11 - (13/05) - Make last refinements, evaluation.
Week 12 - (20/05) - Final assesment.
If you used video - how successfully did you mix sound and vision?
-For the video of Halcyon Gallery pictures I used CapCut and the first thing that I did is I put all the pictures of reflections, so I could present my experiment with reflection pictures, and the sound that I out was music.
